I’ve been searching for a good place to write for a long time. Nothing noisy or flashy, and this seemed like a good spot. The irony is that I’m posting this on New Year’s Eve. This isn’t a New Year’s resolution or some “new year, new me” kind of blog — just a place for me to finally document my journey as a developer and engineer. For those of us who started our journey in this decade (the 2020s), we have a unique experience because we entered the field at the onset of AI. This makes our experiences more unique than any other generation of developers. Our industry is inundated with hype, hyperbole, over‑engineering, unrealistic timelines, and build pipelines that would make anyone go insane. I hope this blog is a diamond in the rough for those who find it. Just know that you aren’t alone — the computing landscape is insane (you aren’t imagining things) — and there is a silver lining. Cheers to 2026!
